It still gets fairly large surges during sale weeks, and is one of the few fighting games from its gen to even still be featured at offline majors. It's done pretty well next to many of those, especially for its age.ĭespite being a smaller game though, SG has still managed to have a dedicated offline scene over the years, and has maintained about the same daily PC player numbers for the last 3 years with even some moderate growth since the end of 2015. Compare its daily peaks to GGXrd, current USF4, SFxT, UMvC3/MvCI, Blazblue, Killer Instinct, KOF XIII/XIV, Battle Fantasia, Nitroplus, Them's Fightin' Herds, Under Night, Pocket Rumble, Yatagarasu, etc. Still, 200 players daily on Steam is, unfortunately, not unusual, or even low-end relative to the majority of the genre once you go below the current top 3 titles and NRS games (DBFZ,SFV,Tekken7, Inj2, MKX). Skullgirls is a 6 year old game now, and it's never been a main EVO title, so nobody would expect it to have SF numbers at this point.
